Access and account (login, password, MFA and registration)
How to enter the platform and take care of your account: login via email/password, Google or Microsoft, two-step verification (MFA), password recovery, choice of workspace (multi-environment) and registration/access request.
Concepts and terms
| Term (as it appears on screen) | What does it mean |
|---|---|
| Login | Login to `/sign-in`: email + password, or "enter with" Google / Microsoft. |
| Workspace | Your company's workspace. Anyone who has the same email in more than one environment chooses which one to access after logging in. |
| Two-step verification | MFA by email: 6-digit code sent after login, when the organization requires it. |
| Forgot your password? | Reset flow via link sent to email. |
| Create account | Self-registration that creates a new organization (trial) from your corporate email — with activation via link. |
| Access request | When the company domain already has an account, the registration becomes an access request that the administrator approves. |
What can you do
- Log in with email and password, Google or Microsoft (the company can restrict the methods — e.g.: SSO only)
- Choose the workspace when the email exists in more than one environment
- Complete two-step verification (6-digit code via email, resend after 60 seconds)
- Reset your password via the "Forgot your password?" — the new password becomes valid in all your workspaces (unification)
- Create account for a new company (trial) or request access when the company already uses the platform
- Change your own password when logged in (Settings → Profile → Change password)
Step by step
Login to the platform
- 1.Access the login page, enter your email and password (or use Google/Microsoft) and click Sign in.
- 2.If your email exists in more than one environment, choose the workspace on the "Welcome to Comunica.in!" screen.
- 3.If your organization requires MFA, enter the 6-digit code sent to your email ("We sent you a code..."). Didn't arrive? Check spam or use Resend Code (available after 60 seconds).
- 4.Common errors: "Invalid email and/or password." (wrong credential), "Client not found" (email without registered environment), and restriction messages when the company only allows SSO.
Recover password
- 1.In Forgot your password?, enter your email — "Instructions for resetting your password have been sent to your email."
- 2.Open the link (valid for 12 hours, single use) and set the new password (minimum 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, number and a special character `$*&@#`).
- 3.The screen warns: from then on you always enter this email and password on all your workspaces (the reset unifies the password between environments).
- 4.Old users with different passwords per environment may get the "Attention!" screen (unification): a link is sent by email to re-register a unique password — workspaces are preserved.
Create account (new company)
- 1.In Create account: Name, Corporate email (personal emails such as Gmail are not accepted), Telephone number and Password (strong password rule).
- 2.Confirm the activation link sent via email (valid for 48 hours; login screen offers resend if expires).
- 3.The account is created on a trial — speak to the commercial team to make it effective.
Request access (company you already use)
- 1.If your email domain already has an account, the registration will show: "We verified that this domain has already been registered, to request access click here".
- 2.After requesting, you receive confirmation and the account administrator receives an email to approve (defining your profile and team). Wait for the analysis.
Limits and rules
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Password | Minimum 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, number and special character (`$*&@#`) |
| Login Attempts | 5 errors block for 15 minutes (same rule for MFA code) |
| MFA Code | 6 digits, expires in 5 minutes; resend after 60 s (limit of resends per hour) |
| Reset Link | Valid for 12 hours, single use; resets in all email environments |
| Activation link | Valid for 48 hours (resend available on login screen) |
| Trial | 21 days after activation ("Your trial has come to an end..." when it expires) |
| Login Methods | Organization can disable local password (SSO only) or specific SSO |
| Session | Expires periodically and renews itself during use; changes to your user/team/profile drop the session (log in again) |
What tends to confuse
- Reset password changes in all environments of your email — it is expected behavior (unification), not an error.
- "Client not found" means that the email is not registered in any environment — ask your company administrator to create it (Access Management), or use the access request.
- New users do not receive a resendable "invitation" — they receive the password via email upon creation; If you lost it, use Forgot your password?.
- I was logged out of nowhere: Your user, team or profile was probably edited by an administrator — just sign in again.
- MFA belongs to the organization, not an individual choice — if activated, it applies to everyone.
- Companies with mandatory SSO do not have "Change password" on their Profile.
